Nancy was born in Taiwan in 1982 and moved to California at the age of 14. She has been passionate about drawing for as long as she can remember. As a child, her father used to tell her that art is meant to be a hobby but never a career, and that all artists are alcoholics, who never become famous until after they died of poverty or starvation. Despite her parents’ discouragement, Nancy followed her heart and continued to pursue her career in art.
Nancy received both her BFA and MFA in illustration from California State University, Long Beach. She currently resides in Southern California and works as a commission artist.
She finds nature to be the most incredible designer. Everything in nature is composed in such a beautiful and complex way that, each living creature has unique form, color and pattern. Its beauty and individuality deeply move and inspire her.
